Do you have kit that you just don't need anymore?
SOS Kit Aid exists because sport changes lives.
Their mission is to recycle sports kit for the benefit of young people in the UK and overseas so they are given a sporting chance. They make a positive and tangible impact on children’s lives by giving them the chance to participate in sporting activities; promote social inclusion; and protect the environment.
Their vision is to give all children access to sport, and in doing so, reduce the volume of sports kit in landfill sites.
SOS Kit Aid is a joint venture between The Lord’s Taverners and SOS Kit Aid and is supported by the International Rugby Board (IRB) and World Squash Federation (WSF).
On Monday 1st September we will be visited by the Lord's Taverners and they will be taking donations of cricket (or other sporting) equipment to distribute.
Over this weekend please bring with you any old cricket kit (that's still in reasonable condition) you may have and leave in the umpires room. This is a great cause and much better than leaving your old gloves somewhere or burning beautiful willow.
